Selamat Siang! This is Hawker again writing the blog for the 3rd time this week!
I hope all of you have enjoyed the Indonesia trip series! Today, lets continue towards the part III towards the journey!
This time, I would like to give a special shout out to all the friends who love mountain climbing or in fact anyone who just loves nature !
Introducing Indonesia's most active volcano with extremely gorgeous sunrise. Mount Bromo!
Here's are the a few tips before getting there.
1- Nearest Airport to land (ブロモから一番近い空港）
Fly to Surabaya, it is one of the largest cities in Indonesia. Everything would be so much more accessible compared to other cities such as Malang.
2- What to wear? （服はどうするか？）
Indonesia, in general is always hot with an average temperature of 30 degrees and above in the afternoon.
However, take note that you will NEED winter clothing in up in Mount Bromo! Early in the morning , the temperature reaches all the way down to Zero degree celcius.
(Yes! I'm not kidding, and i actually learnt the hard way by not bringing any warm clothes. I had to buy their overpriced clothes)
3- Where is the best place and what should i do ? (ブロモでどこ・何がオススメ？）
If you are not the type of person who likes to go adventure by yourself, the best option is to hire guides once you get to Mount Bromo.
The price is approximately 15,000 yen (around 130 USD) for a one day trip + drivers with jeep that treks almost anywhere. ( Please take note that this you are recommended to tip them as well)
The whole journey would consist 4 different places.
They are The Peak to see the sunrise, Crater, Pasir Berbisik (Dessert), and Savana
Here's us trying to rush to get to the peak to see the sunrise! Look at how thick the mist could get!
Waiting for the sunrise! I look so bad with my clothes coordination! I did not bring my winter clothing and i had to pay such a premium price by buying right at the mountain! Remember to bring thick winter clothes when you are here!
The second part of our journey at the crater! Right in the middle is our guide, Pak Heboh. (Which means Mr. Marvelous literally). Finally the weather got better and it started getting warmer.
The 3rd part of the journey at Pasir Berbising, which means the whispering sands. This place is definitely my favorite place out of the 4 courses! Who could have guess that there is actually a huge dessert right in the middle of the volcano.
Last but not least, the 4th course at Savanah! Earlier back we were exploring a dessert that does not consist any life. On the other side of the volcano, Savannah is a a place that boast its greeneries! The local people call this place teletubbies land because it looks just like where teletubbies live!
It is impossible to describe how beautiful Mount Bromo is until you actually see it with your own eyes. The whole package is so un-describable ！I hope you enjoyed this part too!
