Onigiri heaven
Hello all!
Do you guys know Onigiri? Well, they are one of the favourite everyday snack of the Japanese. Rice balls!
There are so many different kinds that it has become really hard to choose. One of my personal favourites is one that has egg and meat in it:
This is one of the many kinds you can find at convenience
stores all over Japan and is one of the more "luxurious" flavours.
You also have your
standard ones such as
salmon, fish row and
umeboshi
(Japanese pickled plum).
Other than these everyday conventional onigiri, you have those of the world of professional house wives!
I would like to demonstrate how amazing these onigiri are. I'll start off softly with
Onigiri-kun:

Next up is one for all you environmentalists out there:
Recycle onigiri!! Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!
And last, but not least I would like to show you a less conventional kind of onigiri i stumbled upon:
I'm afraid I have no comment on this one.
So there you have it, a world in it self in the shape of anything and everything. And it's all simply made of rice!
